Motorsports Meet Tracker — what we collect, why, and how to delete it
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in and password resets) and the profile you fill in: display name, role, car type/color, and optional garage/build details.
- Location: precise GPS only while you are actively sharing — during a meet with sharing on, or while a drive you started is running with the app open. No background tracking.
- Drives: when you save a drive, we keep its route and total miles so zone takeovers and circuits can be counted.
- Check-ins and points: meet and sponsor check-ins, and the points you earn from them.
- Things you post: RSVPs, meet photos, and messages.
- Spam check: sign-up and login use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser to block bots. Cloudflare processes that check under its own privacy policy.
- Push notifications (when added): if you turn alerts on, we store a device push token so we can send them. You can turn alerts off at any time.
We don't collect payment details, contacts, or health data, and there are no ad or tracking SDKs. We don't sell your data.
Live location during meets
You see a consent screen before any location is collected. Row Level Security limits live locations to active participants in the same meet. We keep one live row per person per meet, overwritten as you move, and purge it within 24 hours after the meet ends. Live meet pins are not kept as a trip history.
- One-tap Stop sharing removes your pin immediately
- Leave meet ends participation and clears your location
Drives
Drives are different from live meet pins: a drive you save keeps its route and miles in your drive history, which is private to you. You can delete it any time (see below).
During a group drive, your latest position is kept in a temporary record so the app can tell clubmates you're "nearby". They see your display name only, never your location. That record is deleted when you stop, and automatically within 30 minutes if the app closes. Grouping up is opt-in. Solo drives are never shown to anyone.
Nothing is posted unless you tap Share. A share card is an image made on your phone. It trims about the first and last 0.3 miles of the route, so it never shows where you start or end, and it has no street names. We don't create public links to your drives.
Check-ins and sponsors
When you tap Check in, we briefly store your position and GPS accuracy from that moment to confirm you were really there. Those positions are deleted automatically after 30 days. After that we keep only the fact that you checked in that day, plus your points. Only the app admin can see check-in positions.
Sponsor names may appear on zones and the Drives page. Sponsors don't get your location or your drive history.
Deleting your data and account
- Drive history: in Drives, tap Delete my drive history to permanently remove your drives, circuits, and sponsor check-ins. Zone holders are recalculated right away.
- Whole account: open Profile → Delete account in the app or on the web. It permanently deletes your account and its data (profile, garage, drives, check-ins, points, RSVPs, photos, messages, and push tokens) right away. Can't log in? Use the support form.
- Push alerts (app): if you turn on alerts, we store your device's push token to send meet and zone alerts. Turning alerts off or deleting your account removes it.
- Location (app): the app asks for location only while you're using it (never in the background), for meet check-ins, zones, and drives you start. Check-ins made offline are saved on your phone and sent when you reconnect.
Step-by-step instructions are on the Support page.
